• Dartin Yudha doesn’t sell his artwork for money; he buys money for his artwork

  Dartin Yudha was born in 1956 in Indramayu City in Indonesia. He thinks that art is in human nature as every human being can sense art deep inside, but the artist is the one who can visually express what goes on in his mind, adding some ideas and experiences he has gained from life.
  
  Yudha has a hobby of collecting currency, whether it be flat metal coins, perforated ones, or paper money. He uses the coins in making artistic works after cleaning them from the deteriorating effects of time, and uses the paper money as a canvas. He says he has three packs of coins from different eras. This kind of culture and art was popular among coin collectors.
  
  He says his works are meant to be shown at events that aim at furthering cultural enlightenment.
  
  Speaking about his works, Yudha said that “everyone can see them, but they are not for sale”.
